Everbearing Doula About me

Get To Know Me

Hi! I'm the Doula!

Hi there! I am Sadie Pagliai. I live in rural NE Missouri, Macon specifically. My husband's name is Drake, and together we have three beautiful but wild children. I have been a Stay-at-Home Mom for the past 4 years. Before that I was a Dental Assistant. My husband and I have a little homestead. We have a dairy cow, dairy goats, chickens, sheep, and cows. We love living a simple life and including our children in it.

My hobbies include reading, being outdoors, gardening, and my favorite of all is being a mom. I cannot wait to connect with you!

My Background and My Why

With my first child, I knew nothing about birth prior or during my pregnancy which  resulted in a unnecessary cesarean section. When I became pregnant with my second child I was told I was also going to need another cesarean due to my first pregnancy resulting in a cesarean. After my second baby was born, I knew I would never go through another cesarean again! I immediately started digging and learning all about birth. As we were planning and getting pregnant with our third baby, I switched providers and hired a doula! Complete game changer for my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! I was able to have my first vaginal birth (VBA2C) and it was a amazing experience. I knew then that I wanted to help other women in my area also have great experiences! As a mother of 3 with a different birth experience with each child, I offer personalized birthing support. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed decisions about your pregnancy and labor process. I would be with you to give you support every step of the way. To learn more about me and the services that I offer, please get in touch.

Everbearing Doula in Labor

What is a Doula? What do they do?

Family Focused

Per DONA, a doula is "a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible." Some primary focuses of a doula are pain management (whether a medicated or non-medicated birth), sharing knowledge of birthing positions and techniques to progress labor, and helping you to create your birth plan. Outside of these, a doula may also bring you food or drink as you need it, help your partner or support person best support you during your birth journey, and many other tasks/errands/etc. to help you!

How I Assist

Let’s Meet

Consultation

First I think it’s very important for us to have an initial consultation. This can be virtual or an in-person meeting. This gives us the opportunity to discuss how I can best serve you and decide if we would be a good fit to work together! Consultations are free and last around and hour. Can be done in person or over Zoom.

Prenatal Care and Visits

Informative and Compassionate

With my Prenatal Visits, I offer unwavering support to you and your family before, during and after birth. I will stay in close contact in order to routinely check how you’re doing and help with anything you might need. We will meet 2-3 times for prenatal visits. These are generally an hour long and can be done at your home or location of your preference. We will go over your birth plan, practice labor positions, discuss what you want most from my support/what support looks like to you, and chat about how your pregnancy is progressing.

Birthing Support and Guidance

Here for You

I take on a limited number of clients at any one time so I can give you the full care and attention you deserve. I will be on-call for 2 weeks before your due date and remain on call until baby decides to come. Once you are in labor and have decided you are ready for support, I will meet you at your home, the hospital, or the birth center. I will then remain with you until baby is born and for roughly 2 hours after birth.

Postpartum Care

Offering Support

Pregnancy, birth and the early days of child rearing can be very scary and stressful. My role with my Postpartum Support service is to ensure you get the best information and care possible. We will have one visit to discuss your birth and your experiences. I will also help with any lactation concerns you may have. That visit will take place within 6 weeks after baby is born, depending on your preferences. I will also be available via phone and text if you need support during that time.

Postpartum Additional Care

Support and Relief

Postpartum services help support the growing family in weeks and months after baby is born. A postpartum doula can provide much-needed care, support, and relief during a chaotic time. No matter if this is your first baby or another new addition to a growing family that additional support can be so beneficial!    Services can include, but are not limited to: Baby care, supportive conversation and processing, breastfeeding support, meal preparation, light house cleaning and chores, errands, grocery shopping and pickups, baby food preparation, bottle/formula and pumping assistance, product recommendations, work transition support.

Sadie was so wonderful to work with throughout my pregnancy, from anything prenatal to postpartum. She provided useful information about all of our options, benefits and risks, etc. With Sadie’s guidance and support, my husband and I were able to make the best decisions for our family. I have been so excited to see what my birthing experience would be like and it was absolutely perfect. Not everything goes as planned but being prepared and informed was very important to us. And Sadie helped us with that and much more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
